At MyGamePlan, we believe every player should have a clear, measurable plan that is linked to your the team philosophy.
But team focused pre‑ and post‑match workflows often leave little time for true individual attention, especially when many off-ball involvements need to be tagged manually.
That’s why we built Individual Development Plans (IDPs) directly into MyGamePlan. You can automate the manual work behind player development and give each player the attention they need. The result: staff focus on coaching, players take ownership of preparation, and development stays visible all season.
Step 1: Choose a profile
No two left‑backs are the same. One might provide width and attack the final third; another might step inside and progress the ball. Our simple IDP onboarding lets you start from a positional profile and tailor it to each player’s specific role within your team.

Step 2: Set phases and priorities
Select the phases that matter (build‑up, chance creation, transitions, defending) and the priority metrics per phase.

Track how a player performs in your style of play with advanced off‑ball actions such as:
- Line‑breaking passes
- Deep or diagonal runs in behind
- Defensive pressures and recoveries
All metrics are powered by event + tracking data and fully linked to video, so insight is always one click from the eye test. And just like your game model, responsibilities evolve, so you can always add, remove or adjust metrics at any time.
Step 3: Create individual working points
Turn metrics into clear working points. Identify strengths and gaps, set standards, and review progress weekly and monthly. Players know exactly what “better” looks like; staff can coach to it.

Step 4: Put development in the players hand via our Player App
The Player App comes standard with every MyGamePlan subscription. Players can:
- Replay tagged actions and check stats right after full‑time
- Track personal objectives and season progress in one view

When insight reaches the player quickly, learning loops shrink from days to hours.
What changes for your staff
- One place to build, track and review IDPs
- Automated tagging and delivery = less admin and more coaching
- A shared language from team model → personal plan → training pitch
